Cyclone Remal : More than 37 lakh people affected

Cyclone Remal has passed from the southern region of the country to the northern region. Flooding has occurred in various parts of the Indian state of West Bengal, including the city of Kolkata. Areas most affected by cyclones

The cyclone originated in the southern region of the Bay of Bengal. From there, Cyclone Remal gradually moved over the coastal Sundarbans region of Bangladesh and India. Houses and trees were uprooted due to the impact of the cyclone and there were also casualties.

greatly reduced. The Sundarbans keep Bangladesh safe. The vegetation of the Sundarbans acts as a barrier to the cyclone's winds. Much weakens the cyclone. Same thing happened with Cyclone Rimal. Marine ships in Chittagong port have been ordered to take to deep sea.

Death due to Cyclone Remal

Cyclone Remal originated from a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has informed that the depression took the form of a cyclone on the evening of 25th May. The cyclone hit the coastal area with a speed of 90 to 100 km per hour. So far, according to Bangladesh data, 10 people have died. Six people have been killed in India's West Bengal, but the number may increase later. In addition to humans, many animals have died in the cyclone, especially cows, calves and birds.

Extent of damage caused by Cyclone Remal

Cyclone Remal has affected West Bengal, Odisha and North East region of Bangladesh India. According to the information of the Ministry of Disaster Management, about 8 lakh people in Bangladesh are staying in various shelters. Wide areas of Bangladesh and West Bengal are expected to suffer massive damage due to Cyclone Remal. So far, there has been extensive damage to houses, plants and livestock in coastal areas. Cyclone Remal's speed increased to 110 kmph. As a result of the cyclone, tidal waves are created in the Bay of Bengal.

According to the latest news, ten people have died and more than 37 lakh people have been affected due to the cyclone in Bangladesh. More than 35,000 houses were completely destroyed and 1,15,000 houses were partially damaged. The flood caused by Cyclone Remal broke the embankment and flooded the township. Cyclone Remal passed through Bangladesh and ended up moving towards the northeastern states of India.
